Redefining amateur videos hahaha. Here’s my entry for Hooping Idol’s Circus week!
Harlow this is amazing. I think it’s my favorite hooping video of yours, by far.
Hooping at the Woodstock Goddess Festival at the Colony Cafe, Woodstock, NY. Sound may not be the best, so advanced apologies.
Day 279/365
Playing around at Jacquie’s prior to the Goddess Festival. Video to come.
I made the decision last night that while I absolutely love hooping, I do not like performing. I don’t like the anxiety and the pressures, I don’t like getting so nervous that I forget things (which is also what happens the minute I see a recorder in front of me when I want to make videos). I like hooping for me, I like letting my mind and body go for awhile and challenging myself on tricks I will never use in normal hooping. And I’m okay with this. I freaked out and thought I did terribly last night but watching the video again, I wasn’t as bad as I thought. Even though I almost nailed someone in the face. My concentration was blown by people walking around me and music problems, but I did it. And that’s all that really counts.
I pulled my hoop out to do a little bit of winter hooping; I forgot how damn hard it is to hoop with so much clothing on. But this was a nice (be it clunky) little warm up session prior to hooping at Alex Grey’s.
Day 245/365
I finally got to hoop outside today and it made me really happy. I’m bringing my hoops down to Alex Grey’s with me tonight, I’ll post pictures of the adventure (if I actually take any) tomorrow morning before I go to work.
Day 224/365
I figured if I was going to be lazy and playing with my hoops instead of getting ready for Jack’s birthday, then I might as well make it my 365.
Got bored and made a gif of my 365 images. I’ll post the final image in a few, I’m just being lazy and playing with strange coloration of it to make my life interesting at the moment
This is what I’m doing instead of my 365. Enjoy the part in the beginning where I hoop my shirt off and have to put it back on while still spinning.
Working with these new hoops is changing my hooping a lot. For one, I can’t really keep them on my body since they’re really small (5” smaller than my old hoop) and just want to pop off me all the time. And because they’re really fast, I feel like we’re both flinging ourselves into everything which doesn’t look very pretty. But I like it and I’m excited to see what comes out of working with them.
Enjoy all the horrible drops and smacks I left in. Its really not a pretty video, but its my first one with the poly pros
(the real version) Practice hooping by the Sawkill.
