Day 265/365
Its weird to realize that I have only a 100 days left of this project. Really weird. And the thing is that I notice these little patterns that pop up time and again, things that make me want to take photographs, things that I’m good at. I’ve come to the conclusion that if I am just able to sit and think and then take my picture, they usually turn out better than if I go in to “OH SHIT I NEED TO TAKE A PICTURE FOR TONIGHT. OH GOD. NCIS is on, better watch it and put this off for another time.” Which is why I like most of the images that come from my days off rather than the ones taken after working all day. But for the moment I can’t make every day a day off so I’ve just got to push myself harder to bring that energy into each and every photograph regardless of my energy level.
This is a really hard project to complete in any sort of a coherent manner, especially when you’re hell-bent on not missing a single day. You tend to have to take random leaps, fall a bunch of times, and then find that something you thought would be a shit show turns out to be fantastic, over and over again for it to be a success on any level. I’ve come a long way, both photographically and getting more comfortable in front of a camera, so we’ll see where the last 100 days takes me.
